it’s me (and everyone else)
a little wisdom before the weekend
issue no. 2
hi.
In a shocking turn of events, I’ve sent out two of these in one week. Promise you won’t hear from me until next week. I want to go out, touch some grass, hug my people, and stretch my tired body.
This issue is a little existential in theme, and it got me thinking about all the things.
I cried yesterday (shockingly, no one was surprised). I went to the park last night and laid on my yoga mat with about fifty people I didn’t really know while a bald man played sound bowls and a flute. As the sun set, staring up at the tiny specks of stars, I started to really wonder: who am I? It felt like I was floating outside my body, finally taking in the new me and the person I’ve become over the last year while transforming my life. I was outside with a community I’ve found, celebrating one of the women who inspires me every day, not just to be a better yogi but a better person.
I say all of this to say: for the first time in a very long time, I’m so incredibly happy. I’m experiencing life in a way my little sad brain could never have dreamed of. I have people I want to see all the time, things I want to do, moments I want to hold onto.
I’m pretty fucking proud of myself. Sorry for the sappy little intro. Scroll down for Thursday’s question and its answers.

Q:
What quote (motivational or not), saying, or little life motto best inspires how you choose to live?
Crowdsourced Words to Live by:
“If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
I only have 2 rules:
1. Don’t tell me what to do.
2. Please help me
“Fuck it.”
“Fuck them kids.”
“Running on coffee and chaos”
“Dude, sometimes sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.” – Jake the Dog, Adventure Time
“Just keep swimming” – Dory, Finding Nemo
“To whom much is given, much is tested.” – Kanye West
“We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it.” – Rick Warren
I just try to live every day as if I've deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.
k, thanks.
love you! bye!
